Thank you. You understand my beer transportation needs. I'd call this a fortunate coincidence, but I think we all know the German word for coincidence is "engineering".

Ferrari needs a wine fridge in it.

I don't drink wine if I can help it, I'm not that classy.

I am classy as fuck.

is that compartment heated/cooled? Or is it just a nice spot to store your beer?

This is me:

The Tundra center console was designed to fit a 12 pack, although cans. Slightly less classy.

It's just a compartment that snugly fits a 6-pack, tilted slightly backwards to keep it from moving around at all.

What car is that?

I would say damn they overlooked that option but then I'm pretty sure Germans drink a lot of warm beer, so maybe they didn't.
I know this is a joke, but I also can't help but wonder if Germans have six packs and if they're the same size...
Are there any Germans on Oppo?

I'm 3/4 German, does that count?

There are at least 3. If they would be on now, probably not.

You look like a skinny Jack Black.

Germany has six packs, but mainly of cheaper beers sold at stores like Lidl and Netto. To get good beers you must go to a Brauerei and pick yours out by hand. Good German beers come in too tall bottles to close that lid. German beers are not same size as US. Most are .5L bottles here.

Yeah but I'm always smooth.

That compartment has been an option for some time. My 2001 E320 had an armrest cooler/refrigerator that would hold four .5L bottles laying down. Not that I ever used it :-)

PS. German don't drink warm beer.
Coke, yes. Beer no.

Either Mercedes engineered this for the American market (highly unlikely), or this is just a coincidence since German beer bottles are larger.
However, I would be very surprised if the width of that center thing does not correspond to some arbitrary measure.

What is it in Germany, .5L?

Thanks for the knowledge!
What shall we conclude of the Mercedes' desingers, are they fans of cheap beer or was the sizing of that console a happy accident (for americans)?

That's different, I think I'd rather have warm beer!
I'd heard that the reason Europeans have warm beverages was that the water has contaminates and makes ice look bad. Is there any truth to that or is it as wrong as the notion of drinking warm beer?

only if your know their beer carrying preferences!
